LoneRider Brewing Company began in January, 2009. Their slogan: Ales for Outlaws. Located just down the road in Raleigh, they brew beers with names like Shotgun Betty and Deadeye Jack; Deadeye Jack won a silver medal at the great American Beer Festival in Denver, Colorado in 2011, as well as gold medals at the US Open Beer Championships.

Lonerider’s philosophy is“Effect change, don’t be an audience. Walk your own path, and instead of thinking outside the box imagine what if there was no box.” They host an annual “Brew It Forward” contest to raise money for charity and to bring a new beer-maker’s beer to market.
